Although I have always loved music, I came to playing very late. Aged 50 a conversation with a friend after a game of squash led me to borrowing a drum kit which I set up in our house and set about learning to play. After a few weeks of annoying the hell out of my wife and kids, I was joined by 2 mates who were closet guitarists and we eventually managed to ‘murder’ a couple of blues classics by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Talk about living your teenage years all over again!!!! We managed to form a band called Last Orders and they have been playing local venues for the last 20 years. I left the band a few years ago due to time pressures and now fully retired I play with close friends Paul, Fergus, Kiera and Dave in The Aligators.
